The Sherline Milling Machine is an great, high-quality, mill for cutting plastic and "some" alumunium. It has a lot of accessories "ready-to-go". The Sherline weighs about 45lbs, and is easy to set up and move. However, the Sherline is a little small, and depending on what you need to cut, a heavier (100-200lb) mill might be more versatile.
John has a company that manufactures hanging beds. He does prototyping at the Venice VCAS shop.
Jay, a welder for pay, is fixing the hand-wheel of an Atlas lathe he just added to his home shop.
